(A) Membership & General
- In order to become an applicant to the House of Elder you need to be sponsored by one of our current guild members who has been guilded for at least one month. We will take the recommendation of our members as a sign that you may have the qualities we look for in members and will contact you in game. Don't be surprised if the officer who contacts you asks a few questions before they give you access to the application form on this site.
- Once you have applied we will wait for feedback from our members. In order to be invited you need some positive feedback from our current members. It is your responsiblity to find members and get to know them well enough to have them recommend you.
- Each member is required to have his or her main character within HoE, as well as have all guilded characters listed on the member's profile (also accessible under "Edit Profile"). Access to the private portions of HoE's website is granted when the candidate becomes a member.
- Respect your guildmates and people outside of HoE. Your guildmates are there for you as you are there for them. Those not in HoE may be the very people we invite next.
- Keep requests for common assistance (i.e. resurrections, teleports) to a minimum.
- With very few exceptions there is to be no selling of gear in guildchat. A member may offer to provide tradeskill items at cost. Price checks should be kept to a minimum as well.
(B) Raids & Looting
- We will raid on occasion. Be friendly. Help out when you can.
- This is a "Need Before Greed" guild when it comes to raids and looting. If you don't understand the concept of NBG you are probably not going to be happy here.
(C) Epics
- Get it on your own time. Ask for help if you need it. If you push too hard for guild assistance you aren't going to feel very welcome here.
(D) Guild Issues & Removal
- HoE has a set of officers dedicated to the resolution of disputes between members. If an issue arises please seek out one of these officers. They will do their best to help everyone involved come to some sort of agreement.
- If you have an issue with an officer do your best to resolve that issue between the two of you. If you can not seem to reach a resolution contact the guild leader.
- Do not take these disputes to the web site or to guild chat. This will not help your cause.
- Feel free to bring these concerns up as they happen. Do not wait days or weeks before you contact an officer.
- HoE Strives to be an honorable presence in EQ. Members who are found to be damaging that reputation will be warned. Continued problems can result in removal.
- If a member removes himself or herself from HoE for any reason, and later wishes to return, a cool down period is required ranging from 3 days to a week. During the cool down period, the officers have the option to extend or deny a re-invitation. Depending on the circumstances for removal from HoE, the individual's guild invite date may be reset.
